KKR vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad Losing Streak Continues as Kolkata Knight Riders Clinch 80-Run Victory
In the 15th match of IPL 2025 Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered an 80 runs victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). It was Hyderabad’s third loss in a row. Batting first, KKR posted a total of 200 runs, and in response, SRH was all out for 120 runs in 16.4 overs in the match at Eden Gardens.
Hyderabad Lose Heavily After Poor Start
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a horrific start while chasing a target of 201. In the first over, they lost Travis Head (4 runs). He was soon followed back to the pavilion by Abhishek Sharma (2 runs) and Ishan Kishan (2 runs). Nitish Reddy managed 19 runs but could not bat for long. Kamindu Mendis made 27, while Aniket Verma was dismissed for 6.
Heinrich Klaasen attempted to fight hard with a 33 off 21, but the rest of the batsmen did not support him. Captain Pat Cummins fell for 14 runs while Simarjeet Singh was out without scoring. Harshal Patel only managed to add 3 runs to the total. Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakravarthy were the stars with the ball for KKR, taking 3 wickets each.

KKR scored 200/6 in their 20 overs earlier. Venkatesh Iyer played in for crusing with a quick-fire 60 off 29 balls. And Angkrish Raghuvanshi was also crucial, with 50 from 32 balls.
KKR had a rocky opening as Quinton de Kock(1 run) and Sunil Narine(7 runs) walked back early. But Ajinkya Rahane (38 runs) and Raghuvanshi put the innings in safe waters with 81-run stand. Rinku Singh was not out on 31 runs.

After this defeat, Sunrisers Hyderabad has dropped to the bottom of the points table. Its 1 in 4 has left the team at the bottom. Kolkata Knight Riders will rise up to a higher position on the table due to this win.
